The Coimbra Biennial - Anozero - has won the National Arts Plan (PNA) Recognition Award in the category of 'Fruition and Mediation'. The awards were announced during the presentation of the PNA 2024-2029 strategy in Lisbon

Paulo Pires do Vale and Sara Barriga Brighenti, Commissioners of the PNA, stated that the awards "recognise partners and personalities, both individual and collective, who are relevant to the achievement of the objectives within the PNA's framework of action in the areas of Culture and Education.”

Carlos Antunes, director of the Coimbra Plastic Arts Circle and professor at the University of Coimbra, sees the award as a recognition of the Biennial's growing integration into the local landscape, as evidenced by the city's increasing commitment to Anozero's initiatives.

The award ceremony was attended by representatives of the organisers of the Coimbra Biennial - the Coimbra Plastic Arts Circle, the City Council, and the University of Coimbra.
