Following the initiative The Ongoing Lecture, held as part of the 2023 Culture and Education Biennial – RETROVISOR: A History of the Future and promoted by the National Arts Plan, Colégio das Artes is presenting the second edition of the initiative.

This performative gathering brings together a 'marathon' of presentations of ongoing research projects and will be hosted in the Public Examination Room and the Curatorship Lab, which is a space for experimentation in artistic, curatorial, and research practice. Each researcher has the same amount of time and mise-en-scène to express their thoughts, focusing on their working processes and ongoing investigations at various stages of development and spanning different fields of knowledge.

This “lecture marathon” will feature seminars with keynote speakers Luísa Santos and Hugo Barata, as well as a workshop involving students from the Master's in Curatorial Studies programme and the artist Marcelo Moscheta, who will open the Ongoing Lab.

The sessions will take place in the Public Examination Room and Curatorship Lab at Colégio das Artes on 29 and 30 May 2025, and will include 30 presentations, two keynote speakers, and a workshop
