'Step by Step': Registration open for the University of Coimbra's peer tutoring programme
The next tutor training session will take place on the 12th of October.
Step by Step is the peer tutoring programme of the University of Coimbra (UC), a key initiative aimed at promoting inclusion, academic success and reducing dropout rates.
The programme provides peer-to-peer tutorial support through a process of sharing and learning, where a more experienced student (tutor) helps another student (tutee) on their academic journey. This includes study support and a welcoming environment to facilitate academic integration.
There are two ways in which students can get involved: either by applying to be a tutor or by seeking guidance and support as a tutee.
This year, a Microsoft Teams community has been created and will be monitored by the programme management team to encourage interactive communication throughout the tutoring process.
The next tutor training for those who have not yet attended or completed all the modules and need to be certified will take place on the 12th of October.
Applications are open until 11 October here. Registration and re-registration for the programme are always open, so you can join at any time.
