On Wednesday, the 31st of July, the Department of Informatics Engineering (DEI) of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC) will award six projects created and led by women in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Portugal.

Aiming to promote female talent and highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion of women in the ICT industry, the Inspira-Balance project has organised this national initiative to recognise, highlight and reward projects created and led by women in ICT working in academia in Portugal. The event is supported by the University of Coimbra and funded by the First Foundation Project, promoted by Feedzai.

The Founding Inspiring Futures (FIF) 2024 Awards Ceremony will take place at 14:30 at DEI, in Room A5.4, and will be attended by the Director of the Department, Jorge Henriques.

The prizes will be awarded to six academic projects, divided into two categories: Intermediate Prototype and Implemented Projects. The winners will receive FNAC vouchers of €500 (1st prize), €250 (2nd prize) and €150 (3rd prize).
