UC Faculty of Medicine Day celebrated on Wednesday
The celebrations will take place on the 11th, starting at 9.30 a.m., and include a panel discussion on artificial intelligence.
The Day of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra (FMUC) will be celebrated next Wednesday, 11th December. The ceremony will take place at 9.30 am in the Amphitheatre of Subunit 3, Health Sciences Campus (UC Campus III), and will include a round table on Artificial Intelligence.
The ceremony, which will include speeches by FMUC President Carlos Robalo Cordeiro and the President of the University of Coimbra, Amílcar Falcão, will include the presentation of prizes to the best students of the Integrated Master in Medicine and Dentistry for the 2022/23 academic year and the recognition of professors and technical staff who retired in 2023/24.
The ceremony, with speeches by the Director of FMUC, Carlos Robalo Cordeiro, and the Rector of the University of Coimbra, Amílcar Falcão, will include the awarding of prizes to the best students of the Integrated Master in Medicine and Dentistry for the academic year 2022/23, as well as the recognition of professors and technical staff retiring in 2023/24.
This will be followed at 11:00 by a panel discussion on artificial intelligence, chaired by Carlos Robalo Cordeiro and featuring Daniela Jardim, Filipe Caseiro Alves, Miguel Castelo-Branco and Tiago Alfaro.
The commemorative programme will end with the inauguration of the entrance hall of the FMUC Central Unit at noon.
