UC opens applications for Orphika Music Cycle
The Orphika music cycle returns for its 7th edition from 8 November to 8 December, with the call for proposals open until 30 June.
The University of Coimbra (UC) has just launched the call for proposals for the seventh edition of the Orphika music cycle. Submissions for artistic activities are open from today, Thursday 5 June, until 30 June 2025. The event will take place from 8 November to 8 December.
Orphika is part of the UC Rectorate's annual cultural programme, structured around three pillars: preserving and promoting artistic creation and practice, supporting arts-related research, and enhancing the training and qualifications of amateur and professional artists alike. This initiative enriches and diversifies the cultural landscape of the university, the city of Coimbra and the wider region.
While the upcoming edition does not follow a strict thematic framework, it will feature a special focus on Poetry – the chosen theme of the 2025 Cultural Week of the University of Coimbra.
