University of Coimbra hosts President of Cape Verde as guest speaker at 'Conversas da Casa da Lusofonia'
José Maria Neves will deliver the lecture ‘Cape Verde 2075: A New Land’ on 2 June at Colégio da Trindade.
The President of the Republic of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves, is the guest speaker at the 36th session of the “Conversations at the UC House of Lusophony" [Conversas an Casa da Lusofonia] on 2 June, an initiative organised by the University of Coimbra (UC). The lecture, titled “Cabo Verde 2075, Nova Terra” [Cape Verde 2075, A New Land] will begin at 10 am at Colégio da Trindade.
The session will open with speeches by João Nuno Calvão da Silva, UC Vice-Rector for External Relations and Alumni, and Carline Silva, President of the Cape Verdean Students’ Association in Coimbra. Amílcar Falcão, Rector of UC, will close the session.
The event will also feature a cultural performance organised by the Cape Verdean Students’ Association in Coimbra, with free admission.
This talk series brings together students and alumni of the University of Coimbra, from both Portugal and abroad, along with distinguished guests, to discuss key contemporary issues.
