University of Coimbra launches postgraduate course in Management of Archive, Library and Museum Information Services
The programme will be offered at the Centre for Higher Studies of the University of Coimbra in Alcobaça, and applications are open until 13 May.
The University of Coimbra has launched a new postgraduate course in Management of Archive, Library, and Museum Information Services, to be offered at the university's Centre for Higher Studies in Alcobaça (CESUCA), and coordinated by Maria Beatriz Marques, a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FLUC).
Applications are open until 13 May.
Designed for senior technicians and teachers, the programme adopts a hybrid model, combining traditional and digital methodologies to provide an innovative and effective approach to the complex challenges faced in the field. The main objective is the development of students' skills in various information services (IS), with an integrated approach to archive, library and museum management.
The course consists of 15 micro-modules delivered in a hybrid format, online on Fridays and face-to-face on Saturdays. The first edition is fully funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and is therefore free of charge for senior technicians and teachers. It is offered in partnership with the School Library Network, the Municipal Library Network of Alcobaça and the Coimbra Library Network.
To complete the 270-hour programme, students must attend four compulsory modules and choose two or three optional modules, for a total of 60 ECTS.
