Workshop on "Environmental Systems and Public Health: Risk assessment and adaptation strategies to climate change'

The online workshop, hosted by the University of Coimbra and the General Secretariat of Education and Science, is scheduled for 20 September.

Climate, health and adaptation strategies to climate change are the main topics to be discussed at the workshop "Sistemas Ambientais e Saúde Pública: Avaliação de Riscos e Estratégias de Adaptação às Alterações Climáticas” [Environmental Systems and Public Health: Risk Assessment and Adaptation Strategies to Climate Change]. The initiative will bring together experts from academia and institutions, including the European Commission and Portuguese institutions, and will be held online on the 20th of September.

The workshop aims to explore policies and best practices that enable Portugal to address key challenges such as risk prevention and resilience to climate change. It will also focus on understanding the territory regarding planning and sustainable urban development.

The event is organised by the University of Coimbra, in collaboration with the General Secretariat of Education and Science. Participation is free, but registration is required by 16 September at https://forms.gle/TqTixsNaKATohhTr6

The workshop will be conducted in Portuguese.
